Abstract

This thesis explores the anthropological dialogue between Calvin and Bavinck, focusing on their differing perspectives regarding the unity of human nature in the image of God. While Calvin emphasizes that the soul is the primary bearer of the divine image, Bavinck argues that the whole person embodies the image of God, extending this understanding to all men, women, and humanity as a whole. By comparing these views, the study highlights how their theological reflections encourage deeper contemplation on human nature, identity, and living fully in the presence of God within the scope of human destiny.
